TOGETHER WE RISE

A collection of writings and reflections published by young storytellers from Marks Gate.

At this celebration event, our storytellers will share their reflections on the local community and their hopes and aspirations for the future.

This is the culmination of a ten week programme in collaboration with Write Back and the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, marking the opening of The Rising Generation youth centre in Marks Gate.

This group of storytellers have been involved in a youth engagement project throughout the development of plans for The Rising Generation youth centre, and their voice has played a key role in its design, planning and development. The writing and illustrations from 'Together we Rise' will eventually form a wall design inside the TRG youth centre. 

‘We have a story to tell and the power to tell it. Together we will decide how our stories are told.’

Open to: families, friends, teachers and others interested in the stories of young people.
